Ciudad Fernandina: Viva San pablo, Viva Vigan!!!

VIVA SAN PABLO!!!!

 VIVA VIGAN!!!!

Every year on January 25th, Vigan City hosts a feast. On the day of St. Paul the Apostle's conversion feast, it is observed. St. Paul is the patron saint of Vigan City. The Metropolitan Cathedral, the main cathedral in Vigan, is the center of the Nueva Segovia Archdiocese and is dedicated to St. Paul. The St. Paul College of Ilocos Sur, which shares its name with the chapel and is the largest Catholic educational institution in Vigan, was founded in his honor. Frequently, the Vigan City Fiesta lasts a few days. This period includes the commemoration of Vigan's cityhood anniversary, which is held yearly on January 27.

Biguenos from all over the country and even from abroad visit Vigan to join in the Filipino tradition of returning to one's hometown to celebrate fiestas with family and friends. Thousands of tourists from other parts of the Philippines and beyond join them in participating in the parades, street dancing, and cultural events arranged by the local government with the aid of the local businesses and communities. There are food festivals, art and craft exhibitions, and a traveling carnival. Celebrations at the Longganisa Festival take place throughout Vigan City Fiesta days.

Even though there hadn't been a fiesta like this in two or three years, it was comforting to see that everyone was still excited to celebrate. We were all smiling as we watched the Longganisa Street Dancing. To document their recollections, everyone shot images and films. Fortunately, we were able to record the street dance on film and in photos. Though COVID 19 hasn't disappeared and might still be roaming around freely, the wearing of a mask was nonetheless remembered while viewing. We are all very happy that we may finally celebrate our fiestas as we once did once our safety has been ensured.

Work hard, nap hard

As the months went by, I stopped being shocked when I encountered difficulties. Why do I have to suffer like this? Instead, I'm grateful. There are constantly new issues and challenges to consider. And I can genuinely and with pride say that I discovered this while seated in a chair in a classroom corner.

Although my first quarter was challenging, this second quarter was infinitely better. This is because I've been able to gather more friends than I was able to the last time I wrote about my perspective on the previous months, which has given me more confidence. I can honestly say that this change has improved me a lot. Changes have probably considerably impacted my academic progress this quarter. More stories, arithmetic problems, discoveries, and HTML tag-related duties are now on my list of things to do. There have been a ton of studies, right? The story doesn't finish here, though. This time, the challenges have gotten worse. When I'm problematic, I'm more troublesome. completing all necessary chores and activities in a hurry.

My original creative thought has grown and is no longer limited by existing limitations. Reasoning, problem-solving, systems thinking, and decision-making are all interconnected. Throughout the second quarter of this academic year, I have learned them from experiences both inside and outside the classroom. I've learnt how to see problems, understand how various contexts and communities operate, use logic, and ultimately come to judgements that are effective and responsible.

Because it seemed to be the only exhibit with a quiet ambiance, I went to the agriculture booth, and it did. Crotons, Calamansi, Picara, San Vicente, Hibiscus, Mulberries, and Mangoes are just a few of the numerous varieties of plants. There were also many different kinds of organic fertilizers.

The gorgeous seedlings and plants served as a reminder to me that nourishment should never end. Plants need constant attention. This demonstrates to me the ongoing nature of self-care. It should be a continuous process. Nature is healing. watching the beetle dancers in the garden with dirty hands and the smell of living plants. Overall, it's a pretty soothing experience. Even while gardening involves some physical effort, the comfort it brings overcomes any possible physical strain. You don't plant a seed today hoping it will blossom tomorrow. This serves as a reminder to me to be patient with any life process that requires growth. I'm learning to value the time needed for improvement. Furthermore, anticipating such events is very fulfilling.

This experience taught me that a successful business should focus on more than just turning a profit. The improvement of people's lives should be our main goal. Entrepreneurship entails a lot of duties, difficulties, and potential rewards. Entrepreneurship is defined by a mindset, an attitude, as well as a particular way of doing things. In addition, I learned that the primary duties of the business owner in the initial stages of operation will be recruiting customers and offering them services. In order to successfully entice new customers, the business owner must understand not only the product or service but also what the customer wants and how their offering may be able to help them.

Regardless of your amount of experience, it's critical to have an entrepreneurial mindset. By establishing boundaries, being picky about the people you work with, sharing your accomplishments with the public, keeping humble, being a problem solver, being realistic, and controlling your priorities, you may be incredibly successful.

Christmas isn’t a season. It’s a feeling.

The Christmas season in the Philippines is unlike any other. It is filled with traditions and celebrations that are unique to the country. It is also a time of family and friends coming together to share the joy. Christmas Caroling is a sign that Christmas is near. Christmas decorations, lights, you can already see them in the month of september.

Christmas used to be a holiday that my family and I would celebrate together, but when the pandemic began, we had to make do with video calls and chats. For us, Christmas is about sharing love rather than gifts. For us, a simple celebration is enough. Our Christmas this year is quite simple, but the nicest thing is that we are all together. Due to the fact that my aunt and uncle have their own families, we are unable to celebrate other family members, but thanks to the internet, we can now. Just a simple foods to eat together is enough for us to celebrate with. We attend church every Christmas Eve and always finish the misa de gallo. We have never skipped any of them.

Christmas is, in fact, a magical celebration that is all about sharing joy and happiness, which is why it is also my favorite holiday. Aside from the religious beliefs, the festival is known for sharing gifts with family and friends, and the adorable kids wait all year to open presents from Santa.

Ring out the false, ring in the true.

I've gained knowledge from my past mistakes in a variety of circumstances. I have an extremely poor habit of putting things off, whether it involves family issues or academic issues. I put off doing anything until I'm overwhelmed, frustrated, and stressed. I'm going to make it my New Year's resolution to avoid putting things off. I'm going to make an effort to do the smaller tasks before they become overwhelming. I'll start by creating a diary where I can record all of my tasks, deadlines, and other important information. I'll also set aside time for homework and complete it before starting any other schoolwork. This year is the year for change, and I'll bring about a significant shift by taking small measures at a time.

Even though I've always broken my New Year's resolutions, every year I tell myself that this time will be different. The beginning of the new year seems to be the ideal time for self-improvement. Everything from getting my homework done early to quitting Facebook, I've tried. Each time, I gave up after a month (at most). Why even bother, you ask? When I don't keep my resolutions, I don't feel all that horrible, although occasionally I wish I could perform better.

In this new year, be grateful that God has given you victory over many things over the past year. Every year you make a resolution to change yourself. This year, make a resolution to be yourself.
